The 2021 boating season felt like a continuation of the 2020 season in that did not lose much momentum during the cold months. At the beginning of the year, we were still catching up on service backlogs from 2020. As you know, the COVID outbreak created absolute craziness with boaters wanting to get out on the water to participate in one of the few safe activities. With a growing desire to be out on the lakes by new and experienced boaters, our service department was at full capacity the entire season. We appreciate our wonderful customers who were patient while we worked overtime to meet the need.
Our parts department saw a similar trajectory in 2021 and our staff was up for the challenge. With a change in staff, as we saw two employees retire, we were able to add remarkable new team members who are doing an outstanding job.
US Boatworks has one of the largest boat parts inventories in the country so we were able to meet our demand for parts without having large backorders. Many other retailers placed orders on backorder for weeks and ultimately could not fulfill the orders due to supply chain problems. This left customers on the shore without a running boat for weeks if not months. We are proud to say this was not the case with US Boatworks. We kept thousands of boaters out on the water by meeting the need and shipping boat parts immediately.
Once again, thank you to our loyal customers and amazing staff. We look forward to keeping you out on the water for many years to come.
